Our egos want our dharma/life’s purpose/career to be elaborate, make oodles of money and gain us recognition and fame.
But I have found that the work that has been the most meaningful and fulfilling to me has been quite simple, has come with ease, seems ordinary and, at the time, did not present with any potential to yield money or fame.

And if there is something like this that you love to do, could you embrace the fact that this activity may seem ordinary, is simple and comes naturally and easily to you? Could you allow it to be good enough? Could you settle into accepting its simplicity without having to make it bigger or better?
